PISTACHIO MAGIC SHELL TOPPING

there’s something ridiculously satisfying about that crack of a magic shell—like you’re unlocking some kind of dessert-level nostalgia. but this pistachio magic shell? it takes the whole thing to another level. our OG Creamy pistachio spread makes it rich, nutty, and just slightly salty—in a way that makes vanilla ice cream taste like it went on a two-week vacation and came back with better stories.
instead of the usual chocolate base, this one leans into roasted pistachios, giving it this buttery, toasty flavor that hardens into the perfect crisp shell the second it hits something cold. it’s got that same melt-to-pour alchemy as the classic version, but way more grown-up—and honestly, way more interesting. drizzle it over gelato, swirl it into frozen yogurt, or just spoon a little onto a bowl of berries and watch it work its magic. it’s simple, fast, and feels just the right amount of fancy for how easy it actually is.
ingredients:
- 1 tsp (5g) coconut oil

2 tbsp (28g)
OG Creamy pistachio spread
- 2 tbsp (28g) white chocolate chips
- ice cream of choice (we used vanilla)
- chopped pistachios to taste
- flakey salt to taste
instructions:
- in a small bowl, melt coconut oil in the microwave at 5 second intervals until liquid. repeat the process for the white chocolate chips in a separate, slightly larger bowl. mix in coconut oil and pistachio spread to the melted white chocolate chips until smooth.
- scoop ice cream onto bowls, and top with pistachio mixture, then immediately add chopped pistachios and flakey salt (if desired).
