pistachios are SO versatile and have some of the most incredible health benefits, yet they’ve always been underrated as a nut. we source ours from sustainable farms in Northern California and make sure they’re the first thing you taste in our spreads, because they’re that darn good.
other sweet spreads in the market use things like skim milk powder, milk powder, cream, etc. to thicken & provide flavor to the product. we opted for oat milk powder because we wanted to stay true to our mission of making our spreads accessible to all. we can proudly say we are 100% vegan!
what is oleic you ask? oleic acid is an omega-9 fatty acid, present in good quality olive oil and in this sunflower oil. we chose this sunflower oil because it has the SAME nutrients and health benefits as olive oil, with a neutral flavor. that way our pistachios shine through, without the nasties present in many other oils.
sugar gets a bad rep, i know. but we believe that natural ingredients are the best ones for your body and it all comes down to balance. we don’t use any fake stuff and we were not gonna use artificial sweeteners to say we’re “sugar-free”. cane sugar is minimally processed and made purely from sugar cane, meaning it absorbs all of the good vitamins and nutrients unlike granulated sugar.
it’s no secret that we love good salt, and you can most definitely taste that in our spreads. good salt goes especially great with pistachios or with anything sweet (you always gotta have balance), so we made sure to add the perfect amount of sweet and savory for a versatile application.
