PISTACHIO TIRAMISU TRUFFLES

rich mascarpone, soft ladyfingers and creamy pistachio spread replicate all the flavors of a pistachio tiramisu, in a cute bite-sized truffle! make it for a holiday party to create a cute little dessert station, or keep it simple as serve them as is with more drizzles of pistachio spread. you truly can't go wrong.

ingredients:

 

  • 150 grams lady fingers, finely ground
  • 125 grams mascarpone
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons espresso, cooled
  • 3 tablespoons Pistakio Creamy Pistachio Spread
  • Cocoa powder, chopped pistachios, sprinkles, for coating
  • Tiny candy of choice, for topping (optional)

 

 

instructions:

 

  1. Combine ground lady fingers, mascarpone, powdered sugar, espresso, and pistakio in a medium bowl and mix until well combined.

  2. Roll into tablespoon sized balls and toss in the coating of your choice (cocoa powder, chopped pistachios, sprinkles, etc). You can stop here and serve as is for pistachio tiramisu truffles!

  3. If making into ornaments, add a tiny candy on top of the truffle. Stick an ornament wire through the candy and truffle, folding the bottom of the wire to make a little hook shape. Place all of the 'ornaments' on a tray and refrigerate until firm, at least 30 minutes. Hang on a mini tree for a fun interactive dessert!
